What a catchy marketing phrase. As many, I had no idea what it meant the first time I saw it.
I mentioned my ignorance about these four letters to someone from the "in" crowd --- and they explained with a smile "It means 'What Would Jesus Do?" And, just like that. I too was in the know!

It really has wide appeal. Bumper stickers, vanity plates wrist straps, neck straps, "skullies" (those tight skull caps now you are in the know tool), and of course, t-shirts Can be purchased with those same four letters with the impressive message. I thought about it for a moment. What would He do, if He were walking among us in the millennium 2000?
"Jesus Saves" A Slogan used for many years by Christians but is now replaced by WWJD :" What Would Jesus Do?"

And there was delivered unto him the BOOK of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the BOOK, he found the place where it was written,
And he closed the BOOK, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. Luke 4:17

First of all, if we called him by the name, Jesus he would not answer because His name was Yahshua (meaning YHWH's salvation).. What's been handed down to us is a Greco-Roman transliteration of his true name.

Aside from that, Christ was unquestionably (right?) the epitome of morality, ethics, strength, fortitude, diligence, uprightness -all the best qualities that people try to attain. By reviewing the story of his brief three and one-half 1/2) year ministry, we can find the things that he did the things that he would not do so that we can answer evasive question as it applies to our lives.

Would he care about his community?
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, and a~ go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matt. 7)

"And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of comma/ his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities."
(Matt. 11:1)

Would he care for the sick the elderly and the poor?
"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease." (Matt. 10:1)

"And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were tilled, and “they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full and they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside j women and children." (Matt. 14:19-21)

Would he care about prosperity and money?
"And Jesus saith unto him, the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." (Matt. 8:20)

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Matt. 19:23- 24)

Would he honor his anscstors?
"And Jesus said unto him, this day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham." (Lk.19:9)

"As we spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed forever. (Luke. 1.55)
"And there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you ~ J shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. " (Luke. 13:28)

Would he allow Himself to be praised?
And he said unto him, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is YHWH; but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments." (Matt. 19:17)

"For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me." (Jo.6:38)

Jesus answered them, and said, my doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me." (Jo. 7:16)

After this manner, therefore, pray you: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." (Matt. 6:9)
