Did Paul say that the Law was done away with?
One of the all time favorite books in which the masses
seem to stumble on is Galatians. "But
before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut
up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Wherefore, the law was our schoolmaster to bring us
unto the Messiah, that we might be justified by faith.
But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
(Gal. 3:23)"
What was this schoolmaster that we were under until
the Messiah came? When John saw Yahshua coming what
did he say? "...Behold the lamb of YHWH, who takes
away the sin of the world."
The ANIMAL SACRIFICING was the schoolmaster! ! ! That
is what the Messiah took away. The animal sacrifices
were added to the law because of mans transgression.
Animals could never cover the sins of man. It had to
be a human sacrifice. Sacrificing animals only made
man exceedingly sinful. All he had to do was have enough
animals to cover that particular sin and he could do
it as many times as he wanted to. But this did not change
his nature. |

"Wherefore then serve
the law? It was added because of transgressions,
till the seed should come to whom the promise
was made; and it was ordained by angels in
the hand of the mediator.”
(Gal. 3:19) |

"For
the law, having a shadow of good things to come and not the
very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices
which they offered year by year continually make the comers
thereto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be
offered? Because the worshipers once purged should have had
no more conscience of sins.
But in THOSE sacrifices there is remembrance again made of
sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of
bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore, when
He cometh into the world, he said, Sacrifice and offering
you would NOT, but a body have you prepared me; In burnt offerings
and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure. (Heb 10:1-6)
In verse 9 where he says "He takes away the first, that
he may establish the second;..." what does he mean? Are
you erroneously thinking that this means that the Old Testament
was done away with and now we have the New????? If so, you
couldn't be more WRONG!!!!!
What is the New Testament or Covenant? First of all, IT WAS
WRITTEN IN THE OLD!!!! "Behold,
the days come, says YHWH, that I will make a new covenant
WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH, Not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in
the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of
the land of Egypt, which my covenant they broke, although
I was an husband unto them, says YHWH:
But THIS SHALL BE THE COVENANT that I will make with THE HOUSE
OF ISRAEL: After those days, says YHWH, I will put MY LAW
in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and will
be their God, and they shall be my people.” (Jer. 31:31-34)
You will find this same New Covenant (Testament) reference
again in Hebrews Chapter 8 verses 1-10 as it refers to the
Old. This is the New Covenant that YHWH gave. It was made
with the same people that the first one was made with...The
Children of Israel.
The Old Covenant was sealed with the blood of animals (In
Moses time), the New Covenant was sealed with the blood of
a human (Yahshua). This way, YHWH will begin to change (circumcise)
our hearts, through the Spirit of the Messiah, and put HIS
LAW in our hearts. • NOW WHY WOULD HE DO THAT
IF HE DIDN'T WANT YOU TO KEEP IT AND WHY WOULD THE MESSIAH
WALK THE LAW PERFECTLY AS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW TO LIVE IF IT
DIDN'T MATTER? • WHY WOULD PAUL (who was an
Apostle years after the Messiah resurrected) KEEP THE LAW
IF IT WERE DONE AWAY WITH???
HEAR 0' ISRAEL!!!
Remember Paul is the one who said, "For not the hearers
of the law are just before YHWH, but the DOERS of the law
shall be justified (Rom. 2:13)"
The Messiah brought about a better Covenant in that He could
do what animals could not. "But Christ being come an
High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more
perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not
of this building, neither by the blood of goats and calves,
but by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption FOR US.
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an
heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying
of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offer Himself without spot to Elohim,
purge your conscience from the dead works to serve the living
Elohim? (Heb.9:11-14)
And for this cause He is the mediator of the NEW TESTAMENT,
that by the means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions
THAT WERE UNDER THE FIRST TESTAMENT, they who are called might
receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (Heb.9:15)
